MilkMade was developed to work in concert with Villa Villekulla Farm, a farmstead goat dairy in Vermont which produces small batches of goat milk skyr. Skyr is an Icelandic fermented dairy product much like yogurt. Part of its processing involves straining the solids from the whey, a liquid rich in proteins, minerals and lactic acid. By mixing the whey with natural plants and emollients, MilkMade has created a one-of-a-kind premium farmstead beauty product that exfoliates, brightens and nourishes skin and helps to create a closed loop in the Villa Villekulla Farm creamery. After all, sustainablilty is a beautiful thing.

Goat Milk Whey

Collected on our home farm from a lovingly and painstakingly managed herd of beloved goats, the whey that forms the basis of our cleanser begins its life out in the browse, with the wild brush and forage our sweet ruminants eat. Whey contains proteins, minerals, lactic acid and residual lipids, making it a powerhouse for skin.
